Telegram bot for Wildberries delivery slots
for a Wildberries supplier: shipment slots without manual checking
A Telegram bot for a Wildberries supplier: it polls the marketplace API every 30 seconds and instantly reports free delivery slots at chosen warehouses, so the supplier can book before they are taken.
The task
A delivery slot is a booked time at which a Wildberries warehouse accepts a shipment. During holidays slots are snapped up within minutes: by the time a manager notices an opening and logs into the seller dashboard, it is already gone. Stock sits at the supplier's warehouse, money is frozen and sales are lost. Watching the dashboard by hand around the clock is not realistic.
The solution
We built a Telegram bot that polls the Wildberries API every 30 seconds and instantly sends a notification when a free slot appears. An API is an interface through which a program reads a service's data without opening the dashboard.
- Filtering by warehouse, date and acceptance ratio, so only relevant alerts arrive.
- A direct booking link in the notification: from alert to booked slot takes about 10 seconds.
How it works
Polling the Wildberries API every 30 seconds
The bot runs continuously on a server. Every 30 seconds it asks the Wildberries API for slot data, compares it with the filter settings and, if a suitable slot is found, sends a Telegram message with a booking link. Nobody has to keep the dashboard open.
Results
- A 30-second polling interval, faster than manual checking.
- 24/7 monitoring with no days off or night shifts.
- Stock reaches the warehouse on time, so sales do not stall.
Technologies and why
- Python β the bot's main language.
- WB API β the source of slot data.
- Telegram API β instant notifications in a messenger.
Status
Completed. Under a non-disclosure agreement, the company name is not disclosed. Other details about the client are not disclosed.
