What it is
A monthly fee for keeping a site, bot or server running: updates, backups, monitoring, small fixes. Cheaper than repairing after a failure.
How we use it
The first month after delivery is free, then from $100 a month. This is what makes keeping everything on your own server possible without hiring a sysadmin.
Where maintenance helps a business
- A website, bot or server runs on your own server, and there is no system administrator on staff.
- The service depends on other people's platforms that change without warning: YouTube, marketplaces, Telegram.
- You want to learn about a failure from an alert, not from a customer's comment.
How we use it
Support is free for the first month after handover, followed by a maintenance plan. It covers:
- Monitoring. For example, the finance assistant is checked from outside every 5 minutes (containers, database, the "bot is alive" mark, the dashboard address), and a failure sends a Telegram message.
- Backups and their testing. Nightly snapshots, rotation, and a trial restore on a separate database.
- Updates. When YouTube downloads fail, the video downloader bot gets a yt-dlp update first: the platform changes its protection regularly.
- Certificates and disk space. On the websites server a script shows each certificate's remaining lifetime, and logs are rotated.
- Small changes on request.
Maintenance pricing is on the service pages, such as Bots and Infrastructure.
What happens without it
- A certificate expires: browsers say "not secure" and requests stop.
- The disk fills up with logs: the service falls over at the worst possible moment.
- Someone else's platform changes its API: the integration silently stops working, and someone notices a week later.
- The backup "seems to be running": and after a failure the latest copy turns out to be three months old.
When you do not need it
A static page on hosting with HTTPS has almost nothing to maintain. And if you have your own administrator, handing over the documentation is enough: we deliver a README and a CHANGELOG with every project.
