What it is
A link that opens not just an app or a bot but a specific screen with the right data: a client profile, a subscription, an order.
How we use it
A gaming-club client's QR card is a link that opens the bot with the client's number. An oshavpn:// link from the bot adds the subscription to the VPN client at once, and the ยซะัั
ะฐะฝะธะต ะะพะฒะพะปะถััยป cart opens the VKontakte community chat with the order code.
Where it helps a business
- A customer should land in the right place straight away instead of hunting through a menu.
- Data such as a subscription, an order or a customer number should travel with the link, without manual entry.
How we use it
- A customer QR card. In a gaming club the QR code is a link that opens the bot with the customer's number as a parameter. The administrator scans it with a camera and sees the profile at once.
- A subscription in one tap. In OshaVPN a subscription can be added from the bot with an
oshavpn:// link, with no copying and pasting. - An order into a chat. The ยซะัั
ะฐะฝะธะต ะะพะฒะพะปะถััยป cart opens the VKontakte community chat with a link carrying a one-time order code; the code lives for three hours.
- A name in the link. In UNLOCK one card goes to many guests: a
?to=Name parameter puts the name into the terminal, the greeting, the ticket and the preview.
Common problems
- The platform drops the parameter. VKontakte does not pass the link parameter to people who have already messaged the community, so the code is also put on the clipboard.
- The link opens too much. The QR card link gives an outsider nothing: the bot checks permissions.
- Old links. Without the parameter, the name from the card itself is used, so links sent earlier keep working.
When you do not need it
If the user's path is "open the bot and press one button", a separate deep link is unnecessary.
