What it is
One of the most widespread programming languages โ used for simple scripts and large backends alike (the server side: the part users don't see directly, but which handles data and logic).
How we use it
Our main language for bots and backends. FastAPI is a fast, modern framework (a ready-made toolkit so nothing is written from scratch) for APIs; Django is the "heavier" option for complex admin panels and business logic.
Where Python helps a business
- A Telegram bot with a database, payments and roles.
- The back end of a website or customer account: orders, catalogue, dashboard.
- An integration with no ready-made n8n node: polling an API, parsing files.
- A one-off data move: an old website, exports, documents.
How we use it
Common problems
- Abandoned libraries. The voice transcription bot dropped pydub: it has not been updated since 2021 and imports the audioop module, which was removed from Python 3.13.
- Conflicting dependencies. In ToshaMusic, streamrip is installed separately because of incompatible aiofiles version ranges.
- Blocking code in an async bot delays answers for every user, so heavy work goes to a thread or a process.
When you do not need it
Where every millisecond counts or direct hardware access is needed, we use Go or C++: the Peregovorka chat is written in Go, and the box die-line calculation in C++.
